Inspiration...Shop Talk

Check out this wonderful bag by Salvatore Ferrango. It's the Mini Vara Capra Shoulder Bag. Really you need to zoom in on this bag and take in the details. The flap on the bag is created using little bits of metal. However, it looks a lot like Canadian smocking to me. This type of smocking is also known as Lattice Smocking or North American smocking. Here's a tutorial on how to accomplish it: Canadian Smocking.

Details:
There's 4 small o-rings, a buckle, and a chain on the purse strap. The chain also has a petersham ribbon woven in it. The edges of the bag are piped. Of course, this bag is leather. The price tag is $1490.00.

This is the My Favorite Bag by Black Cat Creations. You can see from the picture that it offers three different straps and has lots of inside pockets.

Have you visited the store lately? I have added many new buttons. Just perfect for a jacket, a purse, or even home dec. Here's a few examples:

This is a 2" horn toggle. Great for a jacket or a bag closure.

Shop Talk - Purse Strings has arrived.

Purse Strings has finally arrived. Here's a sample of a couple of the bags:

This is the Scottsdale Satchel pattern. This is a very roomy bag at 11" x 19". This has outside pockets and inside pockets. Don't forget the grommets for this one!











This is the The Annabel bag pattern. This bag is the delightful mix of strip piecing and decorative stitching. The size of this bag is 7 1/2" X 14 3/4". This would be a great way to play with the decorative stitches on your machine(s).

Shop Talk - New items coming

There is more fabric coming for the Etsy shop. If I can, I will post pictures over the next couple of weeks so you can see the new fabrics.
