Early Fall Inspiration, more sales

Those early fall collections are arriving. Here's a little inspiration for the fall:

The Brodie Plaid Dress by Marc Jacobs. A little 60s styled dress in olive/teal plaid with a little ruffle around the neck and slit pockets. Fabric is a silk/wool blend. Price Tag: $458.00. Use the link to zoom in and look at the details.

Of course a summery fabric would work in this style also.

I think you could get a similar look using the Sabrina Tunic pattern by Serendipity Studios. You would need to measure the neckline and multiple by 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 to create the ruffle.

This week sale is Loes Hinse Designs patterns, Indygo Junction patterns, Bananfana patterns, Artful Offering patterns, and the Nicey Jane fabric collection are all 5% off through May 31, 2010.

There's a sale going on....

If you haven't been to the eBay store lately, there is a sale going on. The Petersham ribbon and buttons are 10% off. Vanilla House Designs patterns and Paradiso Designs patterns are 5% off.

Check out the "What's New" section. Many items have been restocked and there is a few new items, too. Don't forget to check out the new bag kit using the Tag Along Tote pattern by Atkinson Designs and the Chi-Chi fabrics by Studio E Fabrics. If you don't like the fabric designs that I have chosen, pick your own from the Chi-Chi collection for the same price. Interested in a different fabric line, just ask.

It's skirt weather...

I enjoy wearing skirts in spring and summer. Today, fabric.com has stretch cotton sateen in beautiful spring/summer prints. Just perfect for skirts. The Joyce's Almost Bias Skirt pattern would be wonderful in this fabric.

As I'm looking, most of the skirts by Serendipity Studios would look good made up in this fabric, too.

Totes, Bags, and Purses....

I have found some wonderful inspiration for bags. Check out the bags by Nancy Gonzalez. Not only that you can make similar looks yourself. Did you know that Fabric.com is having a special this weekend on their faux leather? Check out clutch patterns, tote patterns, and hobo bag patterns that I have in the eBay store. I'm considering a tulip bag in a faux leather. I've been seeing a lot of this style in the windows at the mall.

Where does the time go?

Do you ever feel like you need a couple more hours in the day? That is how I've felt ever since returning from vacation. I did need manage to get all of the orders on Monday and have all questions answered by Tuesday. I still feel like I'm on the run. With any luck everything will be settled down by next week and I will be back in my normal routine.

I do have big news. The Pattern Loft will be getting it's own space at the first of May. I am very excited about this as it will give me the opportunity to have more family time and sewing time. I tend to work at every opportunity with everything located in my home.

If you haven't been to the eBay store lately, there are lots of changes there. I have moved some of the inventory into the multiple selections category. Hopefully, it will make it a little easier to find items. There will be more moving around in the next couple of weeks also.

There is a sale going on. It includes many patterns and some fabric.

Shop Talk - New Items Galore!

Whew! I didn't realize that it had been so long since I had done a post.


The new Anna Maria Horner arrived and sold out quickly. The re-order has already arrived and been listed.

New patterns coming!

The new Anna Maria patterns should be here sometime in the next week. There are three new patterns - two are dresses, and the third is a purse. Here's a little look:
