It's not too early to think about Spring Jackets

Even though we are having snow showers today, Spring is not too far away. I am looking forward to it. With spring comes the need for a light weight jacket. Here are a few suggestions:

This is the "A Little Somethin' Jacket" by CNT patterns. This jacket pattern has two sleeve lengths and two jacket lengths. It comes in sizes 8 to 24. All sizes are in the same envelope. The jacket came be made from cottons to wools or any fashion fabrics.

This jacket is the Swing Shift jacket by Sewn Square One for Your Style.  This is a asymmetric lightweight jacket or casual top with 3/4 length sleeves. Sizes XXS to XL.  All sizes in the same envelope.  It can be made from light weight to medium weight, rayon challis, silk, and light weight wool.

This jacket is the Zoanne's Cape/Coat by Silhouette Patterns . This is an asymmetric jacket which comes in Misses sizes and Women's size. All sizes are in the same envelope.  It made be made from any jacket weight fabric.

This is only a few of the jacket patterns that I have in stock.  Check out the Jacket Category at the eBay store to see the various patterns.

It must be spring fever....inspiration and shop talk.

Yes, I'm still looking at spring clothing.  The temps are in the teens and 20's here today with a little bit of snow.

Today's inspiration look is a classic shirtdress:

This is the Ramsey Shirtdress by Elie Tahari.  It has a little bit of retro charm.  Details:  short sleeves, spread collar with hidden placket, knee length, and smocking detail at the waist in the front. Fabric:  cotton/nylon/spandex.  Price tag:  $248.00.  Check out the detail at Neiman Marcus - apparel for her, modern mix, dresses.  Zoom in and check out the sleeve detail and the smocking detail.  I would love to hear someone's take on the how to recreate the sleeves.

To recreate, use the "Liverpool" tunic pattern by Amy Butler.  It is very close to the silhouette in the picture. Changes would be the hidden button placket, the smocking at the waist, and the sleeve detail.

I have added several Indygo Junction patterns at the eBay store. There is still time to participate in the contest.  The deadline is March 12, 2012.  I would love to hear about your entry.  We could even showcase it here if you want.

A little more Bohemian...

It seems that the Boehmian look is still going strong:

The above skirt is Michael Michael Kors Tier Maxi Skirt.  This is a long, pull-on, gathered skirt.  It is a 100% rayon.  Price tag:  $99.50.  Check it out Neiman Marcus and search by the name.

You can duplicate this look by using the Fashion Formula pattern by Serendipity Studio. Here's a look:
